Recycled cotton yarn
Recycled cotton yarn is a sustainable textile material that combines environmental value with practicality. Its raw materials are widely sourced, encompassing cotton scraps and cutting waste generated during textile production, as well as discarded old clothing, home textiles, and greige fabrics from households. These are then processed into fresh, usable yarn. This textile yarn recycling process can save thousands of tons of waste from landfills annually. Manufacturers do not need to grow new cotton; instead, they reuse existing materials—thus saving water, reducing energy consumption, pesticide and fertilizer use, and lowering carbon emissions. Traditional cotton cultivation consumes massive amounts of resources. From sowing to harvesting, the entire cycle not only consumes huge amounts of water but also easily leads to soil compaction and pesticide residues. The production process of recycled cotton
Recycled waste fabric is sorted by color, fabric type, and quality, which also helps reduce some dyeing processes.
The recycling team removes excess buttons, zippers, and other accessories. Clean fabric is mechanically shredded into fine fibers. Short fibers are removed through combing and carding. Recycled fibers are usually blended with a small amount of virgin cotton (or recycled fibers) in a specific ratio to improve yarn strength and hand feel. Modern machinery is used to spin the blended fibers into yarn. Each batch of product undergoes strength, evenness, and color consistency testing.Only cotton yarn that ensures compliance is delivered to customers.
