What is blended yarn?
Simply put, the yarn spun by evenly mixing two or more different types of fibers according to the designed ratio during the spinning stage is collectively called blended yarn.
By blending textile fibers with different characteristics together, it is usually possible to combine their advantages or improve their defects, thereby producing many different types of blended yarns and improving the quality of textiles.
How to name blended yarn?
Generally, the one with more content comes first. When the content is the same, it is arranged in the order of natural fiber, synthetic fiber, and regenerated fiber, and the raw materials are separated by "/".
For example, polyester/cotton yarn (T/C yarn) means: the content of polyester is greater than the content of cotton.
CVC yarn means: polyester-cotton blended yarn with cotton as the main component.
Blended yarn of 50% polyester, 15% nylon and 35% cotton is called "polyester/cotton/nylon yarn".
What are the advantages of blended yarn?
The advantages of using blended yarns are much greater than those of single fiber materials, because single fiber materials often have many defects, while blended yarns will perform better.
